The starting point for Akindo Sushiro was the establishment of the “Sushiro” conveyer belt sushi business in 1984, when a sushi chef at the “Tai Sushi” restaurant in Abeno, Osaka, wanted to make it possible for as many people as possible to enjoy delicious sushi in a casual setting. At the time, the “Tai Sushi” restaurant was very popular due to the freshness and taste of the seafood it served, to the extent that it was even known as “Tasty Tai Sushi.”
Our company originated from that “Tai Sushi” restaurant and the sentiment of “Tasty Sushi for All. Tasty Sushi for the Heart.” has been passed down unchanged since the time of the company’s establishment. This sentiment has always been, and will always be, our mission. As a result, in 2011, we were able to achieve the highest sales in the sushi industry in Japan. However, we will never allow ourselves to become satisfied with what we have achieved. We will continue to strive to deliver delicious sushi that will surprise and impress as many people as possible and will offer our customers a warm and happy time in their day to day lives.
I believe that sushi is a very valuable asset to Japan. It has been nurtured by our predecessors as part of the traditional dietary culture of Japan and is now recognized around the world. In 2013, Japanese food was registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. I truly believe that the love of sushi will grow even further around the world and I am strongly determined to ensure that our company continues to play a major role in the realization of this goal.
We will continue to take on the challenges so that we can deliver our delicious sushi with an ever wider and more diverse range of services, so that as many people as possible can experience our “Tasty Sushi for All. Tasty Sushi for the Heart.”
I thank you for your support for our further growth.
